The story of…
Reclaimed teak
Our reclaimed teak comes from old Joglo houses, the traditional wooden homes of Java. Rather than being discarded or burnt, the timber is given a second life by woodworkers on the island.
Years of use have given the wood its patina, so every piece carries a little of the house it came from.
Made by human hands
Indu House began with a simple frustration: too much of what filled our homes was anonymous. So we went back to my roots in Indonesia and found the opposite. Weavers at their doorsteps, potters shaping clay the way their grandparents did, carpenters giving old teak a second life.
We work with them directly, with no middlemen or agents, and bring their work to your door.
