Wood and rattan
Each Burleigh piece passes through two sets of hands. Woodcarvers shape the solid wood and leave it to dry, then send it on to rattan weavers in a small rural village.
There it's finished in the signature gelintir weave, where the rattan wraps around itself and is interlaced with the layers beneath.
Made by human hands
Indu House began with a simple frustration: too much of what filled our homes was anonymous. So we went back to my roots in Indonesia and found the opposite. Weavers at their doorsteps, potters shaping clay the way their grandparents did, carpenters giving old teak a second life.
We work with them directly, with no middlemen or agents, and bring their work to your door.
