What is it made from?
Bamboo and rattan, woven by hand. The bamboo comes from the village's own forest.
Which size should I choose?
Small is 18 × 18 × 10cm, Medium 23 × 23 × 12cm and Large 29 × 29 × 15cm (a few cm taller with the handles).
Can I use it as a planter?
Yes. Put a drip tray under a shallow pot and sit it inside.
Does it go with the wall decor?
Yes. It comes in the same three finishes as the rest of the Scarcroft range.
Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Each piece is handmade, so dimensions and finish may vary slightly. That small variation is part of its character.

The story of…
Bamboo weaving
Our Scarcroft pieces come from one village, where many of the weavers belong to the same extended family. Everyone works by hand, often at home, splitting, shaping and weaving bamboo cut from the village's own forest.
They harvest with care so the forest keeps growing, because it is part of their home as much as their living.
Made by human hands
Indu House began with a simple frustration: too much of what filled our homes was anonymous. So we went back to my roots in Indonesia and found the opposite. Weavers at their doorsteps, potters shaping clay the way their grandparents did, carpenters giving old teak a second life.
We work with them directly, with no middlemen or agents, and bring their work to your door.
